Pros and Cons of Biomass Energy
Due to increase in population on earth natural resources are getting scarce and that has also hiked the price of available fuels required to run applications. Electricity, gas and petrol being the major fuel used for several appliances their availability in future is in question.
This urgency has led to many researches on few other resources that can be extracted or converted to be used for energy.
Biomass is such energy that is used as a fuel and extracted from organic resources such as wood. While few believe that Biomass is a good source of energy and has cut down costs of electricity and gas others also believes that it has some disadvantages when put into use.
Pros or advantages of using Biomass energy can be:
The waste products that will be useless otherwise can be used for generating biomass energy and that reduces the cost of the fuel.
It has a range of appliances that can use the energy such as heaters, biogas, and biofuel and electricity generation.
If maintained and planned well from environment point of view then this is a very vast resource available.
The cons or advantages of using Biomass energy:
Even though considered as safe as other energies for environment it is still unsafe and pollutes the atmosphere.
The resource used for the biomass energy is organic resources such as wood and so to increase the fuel and decrease cost mankind will keep on destroying forests and cutting trees.
Installation of biomass boiler also requires few key points to be considered such as the space, cost of the boiler and safety.
The above mentioned pros and cons of using Biomass can be though controlled very easily with few care and awareness. Tree plantation program can help in the growth of natural resources and that can solve many problems about the future resources getting extinct.
